Pilot-in-Command duties as per Company's GOM:
Shall have command of, and the responsibility for, the flight
crew, passengers, cargo, the SAFE conduct of the flight, and provide guidance and
coordinate the activities of every individual connected with all phases of the aircraft
operation.
Will adhere to training and will evaluate input from all
crewmembers prior to rendering a decision. Once rendered, the decision is to be
regarded as final. No one, regardless of position, shall exert direct or indirect pressure
to change the Captain’s decision involving the SAFETY or the conduct of the flight.
Will not be subject to coercion by any company departmental
managers or customers, good judgment shall prevail at all times. If anyone
determines that the Pilot-in-Command’s decision or conduct of the flight is not proper,
they shall abide by the Pilot-in-Command’s decision and direct complaints and/or
comments to the Director of Operations or Chief Pilot, insofar as such decisions shall
not effect the SAFETY of the flight.
Reports to the Company Chief Pilot and indirectly to the
Director of Operations.
