Role summary

Lufthansa Technik Vostok Services is looking for an exceptional Customer Engineer to join our growing team in Moscow. This position is the technical interface between the Lufthansa Technik Engineering Organization and our airline customers. The major goal is to increase customer satisfaction through proactive technical analysis, support of existing contracts and sales projects.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Be the main counterpart for engineering related inquiries for component business in CIS-region
  • Advise and provide technical support to Lufthansa Technik Customer Service and Sales in questions of engineering, technical product and production aspects.
  • Maintain and expand professional relationships with customer technical departments. Help customers address their internal technical challenges. Regularly get customer feedback, promote and address customer concerns with Lufthansa Technik practices and drive organizational changes.
  • Explain Lufthansa Technik practices towards airline customers (EASA 21J, AWAT, Rogue Unit process, certifications & approvals, modification process, etc) and secure company interests.
  • Proactively identify systematic process weaknesses by proactive analyzing and interpreting LHT internal engineering data.
  • Evaluate technical trends in the MRO market (documentation standards, etc.), derive customer requirements and bring insights / feedback into the organization.
  • Coordinate your activities with Quality Department, Component Engineering, Process Team, and other involved parties all over the world.
  • Independently manage assigned projects in a time and cost efficient manner, and ensure customer satisfaction by successful implementation and ramp up.
  • Act as an interface to Customer Engineering teams in Hamburg, Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Miami.
  • Ensure frequent interaction with team members abroad.
  • Conduct Engineering meetings, prepare and perform technical presentations.
  • Perform special tasks, participate in various global projects:

-              developing new preventive / predictive component maintenance parameters (AVIATAR)

-              process improving in modifications, reliability reporting/monitoring, abnormal wear & tear

-              ongoing improvement of Lufthansa Technik standard products and contracts, based on market inputs

Requirements

  • University degree in Aircraft Engineering         
  • 5 to 7 years of professional background in component overhauls, as well as additional qualifications as design / verification engineer (e.g. EASA 21J)                                         
  • Good knowledge of the market environment, competitors and customers’ needs  
  • Professional experience in a sales / customer relations is a plus                                     
  • Clear spoken and written expression in English and Russian                                                 
  • Excellent computer skills

  • At the moment we are working remotely, but in general office attendace is required (3 office days, 2 homeoffice).
