Leading aircraft company is looking for Regional Safety Director:
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and further developing existing relations with the Interstate Aviation Committee and the Federal Agency for Air Transport, Russian-CIS Air Carriers, other Services Providers and Russia-CIS Industry Stakeholders,
- Identifying and reporting potential safety issues,
- Contributing, together with international team, to the definition of appropriate mitigation plans to address said safety issues,
- Supporting and promoting the development/enhancement of a good safety culture in Russia and CIS, consistently with SMS spirit.
- Creating and maintaining the conditions to ensure company can participate to official accident investigations in case of aircraft accident occurring in the region,
- Supporting sales campaigns in the region when safety matters are on the agenda.
Requirements:
- Working experience in aeronautical business in Russia and/or CIS. Having held management position in an airline in the region is highly desirable,
- Knowledge of the Russian and CIS Air Transport System: operators, authorities, international organisms,
- Extensive experience in airline’ s safety and/or Flight Operations and / or Maintenance department,
- Sound knowledge of all dimensions for operators’ safe operation,
- Understanding and capacity to anticipate aviation threats,
- Knowledge of risk management techniques,
- Ability to take decisions,
- Very good communication and interpersonal skills,
- Engineering education/experience as a plus,
- Fluent English,
- Ability to business trips.
